Legendary Cards Comparison
Versatility
Princess > Ice Wizard > The Log
Lumberjack > Miner
Lava Hound> Sparky
Princess is considered to be OP currently and almost every pro Clasher includes her in their decks. She can clear the swarms, deal massive damage to Tower if being left alone, defend from safe distance and so on.
Ice Wizard is another best choice for many players in terms of his imbalanced slow which is very useful in almost any situation. The Log is an alternative version of Zap and Arrows being added knockback effect, making it a hard defensive tool as well as a decent support tool to push back defensive troops during attack.
Lumberjack and Miner are behind these 3 units because of their main abilities to be aggressive rather than being utilized as a defense units. Meanwhile, Lava Hound and Sparky are only for insane offensive deck only (LavaLoon, Royal Giant + Sparky)
Offensive Capabilities
- Lumberjack > Lava Hound
- Sparky
- Princess, Miner
- Ice Wizard
- The Log
As I have mentioned, Lava Hound and Sparky are perfect for aggressive decks. In addition, Lumberjack offer great offensive capabilities, provided that he is basically a Mini P.E.K.K.A carrying a free Rage spell whenever he dies, which is very deadly when combining with other troops like Giant or Witch.
Although Ice Wizard is overpowered at the moment, he is not capable of attacking alone since his damage is quite small and he is a bit squishy, instead we usually utilize Ice Wiz as a support unit.
Defensive Capabilities
- Ice Wizard
- The Log
- Princess
- Lumberjack
- Sparky
- Miner
- Lava Hound
The Log is great against swarms and middle-sized troops in regard to its knockback effect and the ability to insta-kill-cheap-troop. With only 2 elixir, the Legendary tree is fantastic in preventing opponent from pushing further.
Lumberjack can do quite well on defense if there are other troops behind to support. The Rage spell spilled from his death will allow other troops and Tower to significantly increase the attack speed to make the defense easier.
Sparky is exceptional here when facing particular decks. Against the Royal Giant combo, Sparky is the best counter to him, being able to bring his health to critical level.
Self-Working Capabilities
- Princess
- Miner
- Lumberjack
- Lava Hound
- The Log
- Ice Wizard
- Sparky
Due to the longest attack range and splash damage, Princess is the best troop to work alone in Clash Royale, and experienced players always try to eliminate her immediately to avoid being harassed to death.
With the ability to appear anywhere on the field, Miner are specialized in surprise attack, and is usually used to bring down Elixir Collector by himself.
Lumberjack is a Mini P.E.K.K.A enhanced version, thus his high DPS will allow him to quickly take down large targets alone without too much struggling.
Strength when being supported
- Sparky
- Lava Hound
- Lumberjack
- Miner
- Princess
- The Log
- Ice Wizard
Sparky when being fully supported is deadly as fuck. Her shot will blow up anything including Tower, provided that she is covered properly and our troop can clear out the way for her to have clean shot. Meanwhile, Lava Hound is a disaster when combining with other air units such as Balloon.
Strength when support other troops
- Ice wizard
- The Log
- Princess
- Miner
- Lumberjack
- Lava Hound
- Sparky
It is no doubt that Ice Wizard and The Log are the best 2 support cards in the current meta. Our Princess is just too powerful in every role as usual. Miner can serve as a mini tank for other troops, while being an assassin against annoying Princess and a stealth units to deal chip damage to tower.
Overall Ranking & Conclusion
- Princess
- Ice Wizard, Miner, The Log
- Sparky, Lumberjack
- Lava Hound
It is undeniable that Princess is just perfect to fit into any decks because of her versatility. I will not be surprised if she get a nerf from Supercell in the next patch. Ice Wizard and Miner are the same stories, and the Payfecta deck are very popular among players in Legendary Arena.
The Log is the most underrated card currently in Clash Royale just because people have a prejudice on a tree being a Legendary card. However, the value/elixir cost ratio makes it beyond other cards in terms of defending and utilities.
Sparky, Lumberjack and Lava Hound are still situational cards which will punish opponent if being used in the right way, yet they are pretty useless if your opponent has hard counters against them.
Conclusion
In short, every Legendary has its own strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, you had better base on your deck and your play style to select which one you would like to purchase/upgrade.
